AQUATAB S is a pocket-sized underwater tablet with a functional touchscreen that provides divers with the ability to take notes, collect data, save information, take photos, record a video, access information and launch any Android apps underwater.

AQUATAB S is unique and only device which provides a practical and effective way to perform data collection related tasks underwater, or in any extreme environment that may be subjected to wet conditions. It is small enough to fit in a pocket, can be worn on your wrist or attached to your BCD with a retractable lanyard.

AQUATAB S can be used by scuba divers, underwater archeologists, military, marine researchers and search & rescue organizations.

AQUATAB S is the well sized underwater tablet computer with a fully functional touchscreen that works with a special patented stylus or a special glove like digitizer that allows divers working in gloves and input information very precisely and click small icons on the desktop or draw diagrams.

The device may be based on customized Samsung Galaxy Note 10 lite, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra or Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra at a customer’s choice. This solution allows launching any Android apps and the choice of the exact smartphone model depends on the customer’s requirements to CPU’s, memory, display resolution and camera.

One of its biggest advantages is a rear camera that provides a high resolution of photos and video.

AQUATAB S is a buttons free device that eliminates the risks of water leakage. In order to turn it on a diver should tap the display with a magnet and a sensor installed inside shall activate the device. Besides, it is equipped with an extra battery and provides more than 12 hours of non-stop work that is more than enough for underwater works.

The display of AQUATAB S is protected by an impact resistant plexiglass which protects the device from accidental damage by sharp or hard objects. A scratch resistant film can also be used as an additional protection of the glass from scratches.

AQUATAB S underwater tablet has a special pre-installed navigation receiver inside which allows divers using GPS navigation and marking the exact location of objects on the pre-loaded offline maps or geo positioning of a diver himself underwater. The underwater GPS navigation function works as an integral part of the system that includes lightweight floating buoys RedBASE (satellite navigation signal responders) and an acoustic receiver modem RedNODE connected to AQUATAB S that are supplied separately.

The AQUATAB S underwater tablet can be used as an integral part of the GPS navigation system which implements long navigation base and consists of the tablet itself with a specially developed navigation receiver module, lightweight floating buoys (satellite navigation signal responders) and a receiver modem connected to AQUATAB S.

The navigation system provides navigational data (absolute geographical coordinates and depth) and makes it possible to use any offline map apps. The principle of the navigation system performance is similar to the principle of global satellite navigation GPS and GLONASS operation. The system allows the diver to determine the geographic location in the submerged state, without the need for surfacing and the use of remote GPS antennas on the cable.
