Dusol was established by like-minded persons with a strong desire to bring new technologies underwater and create what no one has done before.
The idea of the first electronic underwater writing board came to Evgeny Alexandrov during his IDC courses when he used a regular plastic slate. He noticed that it takes precious time to erase text from the slate, yet the slate remains stained, making it very difficult to keep using it.
Evgeny pondered over a simpler solution and, after conducting extensive R&D work, he came up with an idea to test bistable cholesteric displays underwater. This dazzling concept was a success, permitting use of a very simple, lightweight and functional device underwater.
